One of the most addicting parts of Overwatch is being able to collect some amazing skins for the game’s heroes. Although there’s no event, we are still getting a total of three new skins this month.
It’s not always that Blizzard releases new skins for Overwatch beyond events. To commemorate two special celebrations this month, the developers have created three new skins that players can get very easily. Here’s what those skins are.
Tracer’s comic skin
Just recently, Darkhorse Comics released a new comics featuring none other than Blizzard’s Tracer. The comics tell about Tracer’s exploits when the organization disbanded. To commemorate the event, the developers have launched a skin based on Tracer’s appearance in the comics.
This is a new challenge skin that players can collect. By completing nine wins from Sept. 15-28, players can get a spray, an icon, and then the new skin of tracer. The wins will only be counted if they are made within a quick play, competitive, and any of the arcade modes.
Players should group up with others so that the nine wins will go by without a hitch. This challenge skin will only be available for a limited time, so players should act fast.
Reinhardt and D.Va’s new skins
To celebrate the Overwatch League 2020 All-Stars, Blizzard has created heaven and earth themed skin for D.Va and Reinhardt, respectively. Both skins will be available on Sept. 28 up until Oct. 12.
Like previous skins from the game’s eSports league, these can be bought for 200 OWL Tokens. Sadly, players will have to spend money to get the skins. This is a time-limited skin as well, so players should grab it fast if they want it in their gallery.
Reinhardt’s skin is based on earth. In it, he’s made to look like a treant of some sort. His new skin closely resembles Orisa’s sprite skin. On the other hand, D.Va is based on the theme of heaven. Sporting a white hair and a blue mech, D.Va truly looks like an angel from the skies in her new outfit. Of course, it’s her mech that steals the show.
There are many great skins in Overwatch but none as great as those which are limited. After this, players will be getting their hands on Halloween Terror next, so there will be more new skins to collect. We might be seeing teases for the even in the coming weeks.
