It’s not surprising that anytime BTS publishes a new album, it instantly becomes a commercial hit all over the globe, particularly in the United States.
The South Korean septet released My Universe, a collaboration song with Coldplay, earlier on September 24, and it has since become not just a huge hit on iTunes, but also a title that has occupied multiple positions near the top.
There are three distinct versions of My Universe on the iTunes list in the United States right now, and they’re all bestsellers. In fact, the trio’s releases all charts in the top five, with just one song interrupting the bands’ great run.
‘My Universe’ secures three spots on iTunes
The single version of My Universe rapidly rose to the top of the iTunes list in the United States, and it is unlikely to fall any time soon. The cut is yet another standard for BTS, who has no qualms about putting a cut to the top of the purchase-only list.
The instrumental version of My Universe is now ranked second on iTunes’ current list of the best-selling songs in the United States. The cut, which lacks vocals, was included as a B-side on the official single, and fans may listen to it on Apple Music and Spotify.
Another version of My Universe is at No. 4, and it doesn’t seem to vary from the No. 1 cut in any way, except for the project it’s on.
The single features the higher ranking of the two, while the latter title seems to be the album version since it has different cover art.
Although the songs are the same duration, the fact that they are featured on different bigger collections means that fans may purchase both tracks, and thousands are certain to do so.
‘Coldtan’ tandem reigns in 75 countries
Walker Hayes’ Fancy Like, which has become the country musician’s breakout smash single and a surprise sales juggernaut, is the sole song that breaks BTS and Coldplay’s run. That cut is presently ranked third, but it may be moved out of the way shortly.
My Universe seems to have reached No. 1 on iTunes in at least 75 countries, according to several Twitter accounts that carefully monitor BTS’s performance on charts all around the globe, yet the song hasn’t even been released for half a day yet.
The South Korean superstars also hold many additional positions on the iTunes chart in the United States, with their tracks “Butter” (No. 17) and “Permission to Dance” (No. 87) both placing within the top 100 best-selling songs.
