Tom Brady, Gisele Bundchen saved marriage from brink of divorce rumors debunked

Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen were close to divorcing last year but were able to save their marriage, according to a report.

Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen were a picture of a happy couple when at Super Bowl LIV. However, they were allegedly close to getting a divorce last year.

Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen almost get divorced

Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen are still happily married. However, in the latest issue of In Touch, the outlet claimed the couple almost got divorced.

The publication cited Brady’s interview with Howard Stern when he said his wife didn’t feel like he was doing his part for the family. A source also told In Touch that the supermodel was only “days away from filing for divorce” before they had a heart-to-heart talk.

Bundchen, one of the highest-paid supermodels, felt that she was putting her career in the backseat for their family. The American football quarterback realized that he could lose everything he had, so he made drastic changes in his life to repair their alleged “deeply damaged” union.

The couple had difficult conversations, and he agreed to some rules, and they eventually saved their marriage, the outlet noted.

Rumor debunked

Gossip Cop examined the report and concluded that it was false. The rumor-debunking site believed that it only published the report because of Tom Brady’s recent Super Bowl win.

During the game, Brady was spotted giving his wife, Gisele Bundchen, a smooch before he accepted his Lombardi trophy. Brady led the Buccanneers to their second Super Bowl championship. At the same time, he secured the MVP award and seventh championship overall. It was Brady’s 10th Super Bowl appearance.

What did Brady tell Howard Stern?

Tom Brady spoke with Howard Stern for his SiriusXM show in April 2020. During the interview, he admitted that they had marital problems a couple of years ago but never mentioned divorce.

Brady admitted that his wife, Gisele Bundchen, felt like he would play football all season while she took care of the house. When the season ended, he would focus on his other business activities and left Bundchen alone over their household.

The NFL legend said he received a letter from his wife, and it was a wake-up call for him. Brady was resentful at the realization that Bundchen was no longer satisfied with their marriage.

It’s a very heartfelt letter for her to say this is where I’m at in our marriage, and it’s a good reminder for me that things are going to change and evolve over time. What happened and what worked for us 10 years ago won’t work for us forever because we are growing in different ways,” he said.

Brady and Bundchen were able to sort out their issues. They are still together and never mentioned any divorce in the past interviews.
