Mission Impossible 7 star Tom Cruise bashed his crew over the COVID-19 safety breach. His audio from the movie set has now gone viral.
According to Indiewire, Tom Cruise was found showing his anger on his crew over a recent breach of coronavirus safety protocols. He’s currently shooting for the next installment, Mission Impossible 7. It’s the next part in the blockbuster action franchise.
The actor was heard shouting, in full rage, in the audio clip. The Sun was the first to share it online. Since then, many memes are doing the rounds on the internet.
Tom Cruise and his undying dedication!
The actor’s unbelievably shocking reaction is because the film already saw a week’s delay earlier in October. So he doesn’t want any more difficulties in the shooting.
Here’s the part from the audio clip in which Tom Cruise is expressing his angst:
“We are the gold standard.”
“I’m on the phone with every f**king studio at night, insurance companies, producers, and they’re looking at us and using us to make their movies… I don’t ever want to see it again. Ever!”
He continued his aggression further and said:
“We are not shutting this f**king movie down! Is it understood?”
Impact of COVID-19 affecting big productions
Due to coronavirus and its dangerous effect globally, big movie productions saw various delays this year. Mission Impossible 7, helmed by Christopher McQuarrie, is among many other anticipated titles affected by the pandemic. Dune, No Time To Die, and MCU flick like Eternals and Black Widow also witnessed a big shift.
Starring Tom Cruise, it also has Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, and Angela Bassett. They will reprise their roles from previous installments. Hayley Atwell and Pom Klementieff will be the new additions to the series. The last part, Fallout, which arrived two years ago, was an insane blockbuster. In fact, critics called it the benchmark for action films in the future. Considering such a response, it’s understood why the lead actor wants everything perfect and right for safe shooting.
The movie is to release on November 19, 2021. The impact of the pandemic has already moved it further from an early arrival. It’s an important project for everyone involved in it. Right now, the entire focus will be to finish it properly under the set deadline. Otherwise, the delay might get a bit extended until 2022. And nobody wants that to happen at this time, neither the makers nor the franchise fans.
