Crystal Dynamics, the developer of Marvel’s Avengers and rebooted Tomb Raider series, is reportedly working on a new AAA game.
As per the Tomb Raider developer’s new website, it’s currently hiring for a new AAA title. Crystal is looking for a gameplay designer who will work on its Redwood City Studio’s latest game.
Is it going to be a new ‘Tomb Raider’ installment?
The listing on CD’s website means that after Marvel’s Avengers, it’s ready to work on a brand new project.
Known for its rebooted Tomb Raider franchise, which was well-received, there have been several rumors regarding the next title.
However, it’s not a new Lara Croft entry, to make things clear.
The gameplay designer’s latest job role requires applicants to “join now to be part of the formative stages of a new AAA game being built in our Redwood City Studio.”
So far, Crystal Dynamics has released the rebooted games based on Lara Croft, starting from 2013. It came up with Rising of the Tomb Raider in 2015 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider in 2018.
Last year, it launched the highly-awaited superhero title based on Marvel’s Avengers. But it hasn’t performed well so far in terms of sales since its official launch.
It will be interesting to see how Crystal Dynamics makes a grand return with its AAA project. Fans will hope for a great gameplay experience across all the platforms.
