There are a variety of couch co-op Nintendo Switch games that are available today. These games take advantage of the removable Joy-Cons for hours of fun.
Couch co-op Nintendo Switch games allow the usage of multiple Joy-Cons for several players. Some games even accept eight players at once.
As such, these kinds of games are perfect for families as some of them require players to work closely, and others get better when played standing up. With the Switch being advertised mainly as a family console, co-op Nintendo Switch games stay true to its branding.
With that being said, picking the best couch co-op game is difficult considering that there are hundreds of games available on the Switch today. However, here are the games that are worth considering.

One of the first games to get for people who love local multiplayer games is the Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. This turn-based role-playing strategy game (RPG) is a crossover between Super Mario and Ubisoft’s Rabbids.
There is one thing that must be accomplished on the solo campaign before the multiplayer co-op feature is unlocked. World 1.5 should be completed in single-player mode first. This unlocks the buddy dome and allows cooperative play.
This game also features the four notable Super Mario characters: Yoshi, Peach, Luigi, and Mario, of course.
The team is aided by four Rabbids dressed in a Super Mario fashion. The player’s team must go through several levels while battling opposing Rabbids.
It is a fun game, especially for Super Mario fans. Its turn-based system might be a turn-off for players who prefer button-smashing battle mechanics. However, do not judge the game quickly, as it is worth the purchase.
2. Overcooked 2

Any couch co-op Nintendo Switch games list is not complete without Overcooked 2. This game is a test of family ties. There is even a running joke in the Nintendo community that it can make or break a relationship as well.
On a serious note, Overcook provides countless hours of fun gameplay, especially in co-op mode. It has a campaign mode that can be played by two people. There is also an online multiplayer mode available.
The game is similar to its predecessors wherein the player must serve a variety of dishes in a timed environment. There are also challenges inside the different maps such as portals and moving platforms.
If you want to know how one’s family works under pressure, then do not forget to play this game.
3. Moving Out

This is one of the newest games on this list. Moving Out is another chaotic game similar to Overcooked. However, the premise is changed. Instead of cooking dishes, the player must transport furniture and other properties to a transport van.
The challenge comes when visiting several properties. Others are haunted, while some places only allow one passable hallway, making it difficult to move. Other items also require multiple people to carry out.
It is a funny game that breaks the usual puzzle strategies. Need to move a chair? Toss it through the window. The fun thing about this game is the freedom it gives to the players.

NDCube created Super Mario Party as the 11th installment of the series for the Nintendo Switch. It has been proven to be a success since then.
This game is fun for families due to the huge number of mini-games that can be played by four players. There is the standard game mode wherein players take turns in searching for stars while taking part in the included mini-games.
For larger groups with several Switches available, this game can connect several units to cater to the larger number of players.
Games included in this title may take advantage of the Joy-Con’s motion sensors. One of these is the Wiped Out mini-game where players wipe windows following the music’s beat.
