Total War: Rome Remastered is upon us, and now the game’s system requirements are out for those looking to prep their PC.

Total War: Rome Remastered is a much-awaited title for many strategy players. The game is very easy on its requirements, with its recommended graphics card sitting at GTX 770 4GB. For those who have a semi-decent entry-level rig, the game would be a breeze.

Rome: Total War was a stellar title for 2004

Total War is one of the most enduring RTS franchises in the history of gaming. The original title came out in 2004 and became the 20th best-selling game of that year. It maintained its position until the next year, confirming its status as a player favorite.

In the United States alone, the game sold more than 390,000 by 2006. By 2013, Rome: Total War alone sold as many as 876,000 units in the US alone. While the numbers may look paltry now, these were big numbers at the time.

Now, the game is receiving a remaster and fans will surely look to give it extensive replay. Ahead of its release on April 29, Sega and Creative Assembly released an FAQ. Within it, they also included the game’s system requirements.

New Total War will receive 4K makeover

Total War: Rome Remastered will received a 4K makeover, together with 16 new playable factions. The game will also come with an Enhanced Graphics Pack that will “upgrade textures on the campaign map and in battles.”

Here are the minimum system requirements for the game:

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit (version 1809)
  • Processor: Intel i3 series | AMD FX-4000 series
  • Memory: 6GB* RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 600 series (1GB VRAM) | AMD HD 7000 series (1GB VRAM) | Intel UHD 620
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 45GB available space
  • Additional Notes:
  • PC Integrated graphics chipsets require 8GB RAM, e.g. Intel HD/UHD series
  • Estimated performance on Low settings at 1080p (66% gameplay resolution scaling): 30 FPS
  • Framerate may drop in large-scale, graphics-intensive battles.

Here are the recommended system requirements for the game:

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit (version 20H2)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-4570 | Ryzen 5 1600
  • Memory: 8GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 4GB | AMD Radeon R9 290 4GB
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 45GB available space
  • Additional Notes:
    Estimated performance on High settings at 1080p: 60 FPS
    Framerate may drop in large-scale, graphics-intensive battles.

The enhanced Graphics Pack has an entirely separate set of system requirements, including:

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit (version 1809)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-4570 | Ryzen 5 1600
  • Memory: 8GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 4GB | AMD Radeon R9 290 4GB
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: Additional 30GB available space

Total War: Rome Remastered will come out on April 29. For those who don’t have it yet, fans can get the original game for free. For those who already have the original on Steam, they can avail a solid 50% discount for the remaster.
