Creative Assembly and Sega have delayed their awaited title Total War: Warhammer 3. Its new arrival time is slated for early 2022.
The dev team behind Total War: Warhammer 3, however, didn’t give out a specific reason for postponing the release.
‘Total War: Warhammer 3’ details so far
Everyone knows that this year in itself has been difficult in terms of new game releases. Of course, the COVID-19 pandemic has forced major companies and studios to pause production due to various types of work limitations.
However, when it comes to the delay of Total War: Warhammer 3, its makers haven’t provided any relevant cause. While sharing the sad news online, Creative Assembly mentioned that “The wait won’t be much longer.”
It only said that the team wants to make the game a great experience in terms of overall quality. And the new date will make “for a stronger release.”
Furthermore, Total War: Warhammer 3 will not end the franchise, confirmed by the developer. In fact, it will be the beginning of extended content and support for years to come.
In case you don’t know, Warhammer 3 will comprise gameplay offering turn-based strategy building and real-time tactics.
Players will move armies around the map while managing civilizations in a turn-based way. Encountering AI-controlled factions, they will deal with them using either diplomacy or fight. There will be tons of custom battles modes to create customized real-time battles.
In the game, players will witness two races, namely the Kislev and Grand Cathay. While the factions are based on four Chaos Gods: Khorne, Tzeentch, Nurgle, and Slaanesh.
New games in 2021
While some fans are waiting for Warhammer 3 to release next year, there are many other names to watch out for on an uncertain date.
Speaking of the most-awaited blockbusters, then there are names like Far Cry 6, Battlefield 2042, and Dying Light 2.
Activision and Sledgehammer’s Call of Duty: Vanguard is also making its landing in the next two months. The newest entry in the iconic first-person shooter series will follow a story set in World War II.
Ubisoft’s Riders Republic is also making its way next month. It will comprise competitions consisting of extreme sports in an open-world environment.
Recently announced Etched Memories, Tom Clancy’s XDefiant, and Glitchpunk are also making their debuts soon.
Coming back to Total War: Warhammer 3, it will launch early in 2022 for PC via Steam.
