Adult Swim finally announced the coming of Tuca and Bertie Season 2, two years after the first season’s release.
Netflix has withdrawn from doing the series, but Adult Swim will continue telling the story of the two hilarious bird-women. In no time, fans will once again see these two exchanging extremely amusing banters in Tuca and Bertie Season 2.
The much-awaited return
Tuca and Bertie will return for another series of funny episodes, beginning this summer.
“There are some new birds on the block,” Adult Swim’s announcement on Twitter reads. “Tuca and Bertie premieres on Sunday, June 13, only on Adult Swim.”
Netflix first helmed the animated series in 2019 but canceled the show after just one season despite being a big hit.
The Lisa Hanawalt-penned series was critically acclaimed and loved by many fans and critics alike, per Comicbook.
It featured some great talents, like Tiffany Haddish and Ali Wong, who voice the lead characters Tuca and Bertie.
Fortunately, Adult Swim picked up the show and would bring Tuca and Bertie Season 2 to life.

New season details, plotline, and more
Like the first season, Tuca and Bertie Season 2 will have ten episodes of fun adventures of the two protagonists.
Here, Bertie will try to let her “inner ghouls” come out with the help of a therapist.
Tuca, on the other hand, seems not to need any professional help. So what will she do? She prefers to hide her demons behind the toilet and deal with them later.
Tuca’s main priority today is to find someone to go on a date. Who will it be? Find out when the new season drops.
Elsewhere, Speckle (Steven Yeun) will be busy building a new house, but he will find himself on the brink of losing his mind.
By the looks of it, there is a lot that is about to happen that fans need to see.
“We’re so excited to be on Adult Swim!” the show’s creator and executive producer Hanawalt said via Variety. “I can’t wait for the world to see our girls Tuca and Bertie — and our main man Speckle — getting into some fresh nonsense this season.”
Fans have to get ready to see demonized geese and romanticized seagulls once again in a new set of episodes that can make everyone relate.
Tuca and Bertie Season 2 will be out on June 13 on Adult Swim. Sadly, it won’t be seen on Netflix this time, though its first season remains airing on the streaming giant.
