Instead of playing video games and binge-watching just like other kids, two American boys prefer to choose a hobby that is not only unusual for their age but highly profitable as well.
In a report first published by The Dallas Morning News, American brothers Ishaan (14) and Aanysa (9) Thakur who live in Frisco, Texas, are earning $35,000 per month through Ethereum mining.
What’s interesting about this story is that the two boys have developed their interest in crypto mining through their father’s bedtime story, which is about Bitcoin. The two young entrepreneurs are managing their “mining business” in their garage when they were just starting.
Old gaming computer
The two boys’ crypto mining venture started in an old gaming laptop, which they bought last March. It was a piece of fairly good equipment to use to start their mining, which enabled them to earn $1,000 in their first month.
Their father took a loan to help them buy their needed equipment while they eagerly learned crypto mining just from YouTube videos.
Their venture was so successful that they became confident to expand their operations, but when they were about to scale up their mining business, they encountered a new problem.
Chip shortage
They faced the big problem of graphics card shortage, but their entrepreneurial spirit motivated them to continue with their plans despite the big limitation.
The two brothers have signed up for updates from electronic stores so they can immediately get the graphics card they need when it’s already available in the stores.
Instead of splurging on their big earnings, Ishaan and Aanysa Thakur decided to reinvest their earnings to upgrade their crypto mining operations.
