Tyler Herro wowed the virtual crowd when he showed his finesse shot-making and long-range shots that resembled Steph Curry.
The Miami Heat are sitting on a comfortable 3-1 lead against the Boston Celtics. In just six seasons after the Lebron James-era, the Miami Heat are just one win away from the NBA Finals.
Considering the short time the Heat developed their players, everything just seemed to click. All these could be attributed to Pat Riley, Erik Spoelstra, and the entire culture in the Miami Heat organization.
Unheard of players are boosted to the spotlight. Even rookies like Kendrick Nunn and Tyler Herro are carrying the team to convincing wins. Herro even showed in Game 4 what he’s capable, and it’s not good news for the rest of the teams in the East.
Tyler Herro is showing signs of Steph Curry
Herro scored 37 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals. He did this shooting 50% from the 3-pt line by sinking 5 out of 10 markers. He also shot an ultra-efficient 66% from all over the field.
This stat line doesn’t resemble that of a rookie’s. It looks like a superstar in a team, which the team relies on to win the night in and night out. Right now, Herro is still on his way to stardom, but there is no denying that he is a player that has so much potential to become one.
Andre Iguodala, who was Steph Curry’s teammate for four years, even said that there are semblances of Curry in Herro. The praise is no small feat considering that Andre Iguodala has seen it all. He said,
“But there are some resemblances in that he can get to his shot pocket off the dribble and off the shoot and catch, which is rare — that guys have both of those features in their games.”
Miami Heat is still not out of the woods
Based on what the Nuggets has shown in its first and second round fights in the West, the Miami Heat still cannot rest. The Boston Celtics have the talent to pull off an upset. Therefore, the Miami Heat cannot take their foot off the gas. Otherwise, they may end up suffering the shockers that the Clippers and the Jazz experienced in their runs.
As such, Tyler Herro will be more depended on moving forward. Leading the team and composing the Heat will be Jimmy Butler and Goran Dragic. They will look to finish the series in their match tomorrow against the Celtics.
