Players are disappointed that E3 2020 has been canceled, which means big announcements will be held back. However, developers like Ubisoft are still going to push through with their announcements to ensure that gamers are up to date on the latest games – now, the developer has announced Ubisoft Forward.
In a recent announcement, the developer announced that it would hold a digital event called Ubisoft Forward on July 12. This is to make up for the fact that E3 2020 has been canceled. As fans know, Ubisoft has always been active in the expo.

What the event has in store
Ubisoft teases that the event will have “exclusive game news, reveals, and more.” For now, the developer is yet to give a hint as to what these could be, but that is likely because it has something big in store for the event.
For those that want to participate in the event, Ubisoft Forward will be held on July 12 at 12 PM PDT. The event will most likely be available at Ubisoft’s YouTube account as well as its social media channels.
What to expect
Ubisoft has always had a major announcement during E3. It’s safe to say that this will be the same when it comes to its exclusive event. For now, fans know that the digital event will be an outlet for Ubisoft to reveal more details about the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Not much has been revealed about the game yet except for a few pieces of gameplay details. Ubisoft did release a gameplay trailer for the game, but even that featured only a few seconds worth of gameplay for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Obviously, fans are expecting the upcoming digital event to showcase more.
Ubisoft has more titles along the line. Fans are most specifically looking for more news regarding Gods and Monsters, as well as Watchdogs Legion, both of which are slated to launch for next-gen consoles. Fans should also expect new DLC for Rainbow Six Siege, and the reveal of this year’s iteration of Just Dance.
Considering that the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X is going to launch later this year, we can expect a lot of surprising reveals from Ubisoft at the upcoming event.
With Ubisoft Forward, the developer becomes the latest of gaming giants to create a substitute for their E3 2020 showcase. Hopefully, more developers follow suit with the digital approach as gamers are more than eager to get their fair share of reveals and announcements.
