The UEFA Champions League 2020-21 begins with some exciting results. Round, one of the UEFA Champions League, saw two 17-year-olds on the score sheet, five own goals, and a red card.
Eder put Lokomotiv in the lead within the first 20 minutes of the game. However, Salzburg got their equalizer when Dominik Szoboszlai scored a surprise right before the break.
Further, Salzburg finds themselves taking the lead five minutes after the break with a goal from Zlatko Junuzovic. Vitali Lisakovich, however, scored the equalizer for Lokomotiv in the 75th minute.
The defending champions did not show mercy on the Spanish capital side. The over-powering Bayern side scored four goals against Simeone’s Atleti.
Kingsley Coman, who also scored the winner in last season’s UCL final, scored two goals and bagged an assist. Midfielders Leon Goretzka and Corentin Tolisso get a goal each.
This was the only second time Atletico Madrid have conceded four goals in a single UEFA Champions League match.
Probably the most shocking result of this week. The Ukrainian found the net thrice before the first half with goals from Tete and Malor Solomon and an own goal from Raphael Varane.
However, the two goals came within five minutes for Madrid in the second half, including Vinicius scoring in just 15 seconds after coming on as a substitute, but it wasn’t enough, though.
This is Real Madrid‘s seventh loss out of eight matches in the UCL in which Sergio Ramos has not played. Most of Shakhtar’s first-team players did not play because of COVID-19, making it sound even more embarrassing for the 13-time UCL winners.
A thrilling encounter with Romelu Lukaku, scoring in nine consecutive European competition matches for Inter.
Ahmed Hassan scored in injury time to decide the winner for the home side.
Ilkay Gundogan scored from a free-kick after 20 minutes into the second half, which gave City the lead. Nevertheless, substitute Ferran Torres bagged the team’s third and his second goal for Manchester City.
Porto’s away record against English sides in European competition remains winless, with three draws and 17 losses.
Liverpool earned a very close and hard-fought victory with Nicolas Tagliafico’s own goal.
Atalanta has been scoring a lot of goals this season as well. In fact, the team has now scored 18 goals in their last five matches.
The Match Night 1 of Round 1 results are as follows:
Lionel Messi started his UCL campaign scoring from the penalty spot. Moreover, the game saw two 17-year-olds scoring goals for Barcelona.
