Upcoming PC games coming in May 2020

Here is a list of games to watch out for this May; ranging from independent games to triple-A titles for different platforms.

Considering the current global state, many are looking for other ways to entertain themselves, and playing video games is one of them.

Gamers should rejoice as amazing titles from every genre will be coming out soon.

As April comes to an end, Resident Evil 3 is already out and the Kickstarter game In Other Waters has been made available on the PC, Mac, and Switch.

For more titles released this year, Rockpapershotgun created a list as a guide.

That being said, here are some of the games that will arrive next month. Time to save up some cash because all of these are not only fun to play, but it’ll keep you entertained during the quarantine.

Signs of Sojourner (May 14)

This game from Echodog Games brings a great narrative through its unique card-based mechanic. Signs of Sojourner revolves around building relationships with the other characters as well as other people.

The game starts as the protagonist takes over his deceased mother’s store. The player must travel to different locations to acquire goods and as the game progresses, the narrative takes place.

There are no chat trees in the game, and for a player to communicate with merchants, the player can use symbol cards that should match up with the in-game merchant to be able to acquire goods.

The game is available on Steam for macOS and Windows. There are no updates on whether it will come to console platforms in the future.

Maneater (May 22)

Remember the 2006 game Jaws Unleashed? If yes, then this game can be very interesting. It is still worth a try if you re not familiar with this genre.

Maneater is the shark simulator that a lot of players are waiting for. This role-playing game lets the users take the role of a shark as it chomps away at the U.S. Golf Coast. The game is an open-world so the possibilities are endless.

Similar to the mobile game, Hungry Shark, the character at Maneater starts as a baby shark. By exploring the large open-world area, the player must search for either human food or wildlife. The character grows as objectives are accomplished and the right resources are taken.

This game stays true with its copy “Eat. Explore. Evolve.” and can be quite engaging.

Maneater will be available on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox this May. The Nintendo Switch version will arrive at a later date.

Gamers and non-gamers alike know a thing or two about Minecraft. For Minecraft fans, this game is a must-have.

Minecraft Dungeons is an action-adventure game that takes the player into the Minecraft universe. The players must fight their way inside dungeons that are full of monsters and ultimately, battle the evil Arch-Illager.

There are no crafting and building parts to this game, unlike the original Minecraft. But the adventure type game breathes a new life into the franchise.

One great thing about this game is it allows solo play and online multiplayer. This is great for couples or groups of friends who are already into Minecraft.

The game is developed by Mojang and will arrive on the PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and the Nintendo Switch next month.
