‘Violet Evergarden’ hits Netflix with a new trailer

Violet Evergarden: The Movie, the forthcoming conclusion to Kyoto Animation’s highly acclaimed anime series, has a new teaser on Netflix.

The new teaser summarizes the first season of the Netflix original anime and previews Violet’s journey to comprehend the intricacies of human emotion and come to terms with the loss of her first love, the Major.

The film offers an original narrative that will conclude Netflix’s 13-episode anime adaptation of award-winning light novel series by writer Kana Akatsuki and artist Akiko Takase.

Viollet Evergarden will be hitting the small screen

On October 13, Violet Evergarden: The Movie will be available for global viewing exclusively on Netflix.

Violet Evergarden: The Movie debuted in cinemas on September 18, 2020, after being delayed by both an arson assault on producer Kyoto Animation’s offices and the continuing COVID-19 epidemic.

The film grossed 2.1 billion yen (approximately $19.2 million USD) during its theatrical run in Japan, making it Kyoto Animation’s second highest-grossing anime film behind A Silent Voice.

Violet Evergarden, directed by Haruka Fujita (Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions!: Heart Throb, Sound! Euphonium) and Taichi Ishidate (Beyond the Boundary, Nichijou, K-On!) and animated and produced by Kyoto Animation, the studio behind classic anime A Silent Voice, Hyouka, K-On! and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, premiered on Netflix on January 11.

Netflix’s most popular anime adaptations

The series garnered instant critical acclaim and has gone on to become one of Netflix’s most popular anime adaptations.

Violet Evergarden is the tale of Violet, a former child soldier and amputee who, following the death of her senior officer Major Gilbert Bougainvillea, sets out to discover the meaning of love.

Violet is training to become an Auto Memory Doll, a female ghostwriter who helps customers compose customized messages using sophisticated prosthetic limbs.

Violet meets a variety of individuals from various origins and socioeconomic levels as an Auto Memory Doll, and she starts to comprehend the complex and diverse human feeling of love.
