The Vivo Y30, which is the latest entry under Vivo’s now-expanding Y series, is slotted below the Y50.
Vivo has quietly launched the Y30, the newest entry in its Y lineup. The phone, which isn’t announced traditionally through the company’s official channels, was listed instead in a Malaysian online store. Alongside its key features and specifications, the device’s listing also revealed its pricing details.
Ultra O display
Among the many highlights of the Vivo Y30 can be found in its display offerings. These are headlined by a 6.47-inch IPS LCD, with a resolution of 720 x 1,560 pixels. Vivo dubs it at the Ultra O display, largely due to the cutout that is placed at the upper-left section of its screen.
The rear panel design of the Vivo Y30 was also revealed in the listing. Accordingly, its rear shell is made of polycarbonate material finished with a glossy look.
Into the Vivo Y30’s modern camera take
On its rear, the Vivo Y30 features a quadruple-camera setup. It is housed in a current, rectangular housing which also boasts an LED flash. In terms of configuration, the setup comprises a 13MP lens, with 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth sensors. Meanwhile, the phone’s display punch-hole is equipped with an 8MP camera.
The Vivo Y30 also features a fingerprint sensor on its rear panel.

MediaTek Helio P35 chip with 5,000mAh battery
The Vivo Y30 is also a mid-range powerhouse relative to its hardware offerings. It is powered by MediaTek’s Helio P35 chipset, which is then coupled by PowerVR GE8320 GPU.
The phone also has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There is no word yet whether the phone support storage expansion, though. The handset weighs 197 grams.
The Vivo Y30 also sports a sizeable 5,000mAh battery. This is easily one of the very few phones in its class to feature such a Herculean perk. This is a caveat, however: the phone only supports 10W “fast” charging.
Other key features of the handset are Bluetooth 5.0, a dedicated FM radio, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C.
Pricing and availability
The Vivo Y30, which launches in Malaysia, will set buyers back at MYR 899 for its singular 4GB/128GB variant. Note that the pricing is based on its listing on the Lazada Malaysia site.
The phone, which is set to arrive in the Malaysian market on May 9, will retail in Dazzle Blue and Moonstone White color options.
