According to the announcement that it posted on its official website, the retail giant made it clear that it will be looking to make its converted parking lots as contact-free as possible in order to keep every moviegoer safe from COVID-19.
And as pointed out on its official Twitter page, Walmart is also joining forces with Tribeca Enterprises, the organization behind the international film festival, to feature movies selected by the Tribeca Drive-In program.
As indicated in Walmart’s official announcement, the plan is to start launching the drive-in movie theater partnership with Tribeca next month in select towns across the United States.
All in all, the company is looking at about 320 combined showings throughout different cities and locations in America.
So far, Walmart has disclosed that the drive-in program will last for a period of three months, which should end by October later this year.
The movies that will be shown in Walmart’s converted parking lots will be mostly of the family-friendly kind.
The retail giant has even hinted that certain showings might come with special appearances from popular directors and even some of today’s hottest movie stars.
As mentioned earlier, to keep the showings as safe as possible for everyone attending, social distancing protocols will be strictly observed, with concessions delivered directly to moviegoers’ vehicles to minimize contact.
There’s no word yet on the exact schedule of screenings, nor the actual list of movies to be shown in the months to come.
But based on what Tribeca has revealed back in May earlier this year when it first announced its Tribeca Drive-In program, the roster of films should offer modern classics and soon-to-be all-time favorites.reta
Last May, Tribeca had promised the following titles (to name a few):
Ellen DeGeneres Show is like The Devil Wears Prada movie according to a former crew…
Katie Holmes has been sharing funny and inspirational posts on her social media account, aside…
