After the release of episode 4 of WandaVision, there is a lot of curiosity and confusion about Vision. Is he still alive in the MCU timeline?
According to Comicbook, episode 4 of Marvel’s WandaVision showed agent Jimmy Woo trying to decode many mysteries. While doing so, on a whiteboard, he put a question mark in front of Vision’s name. And it leads to one crucial question: Is he still alive in the MCU or not?
The Disney+ TV show stars Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany in lead roles.
WandaVision: More than meets the eye!
The last episode of the Marvel Studios’ series revealed many surprises in terms of unexpected moments. And it’s mostly regarding the events of Westview and what’s happening there.
Firstly the episode showed that moment once again where Wanda throws Monica out of her house and Westview. Just after that, Vision comes in and asks her if everything is alright. At that specific moment, for a few seconds, Vision is seen dead with his Mind stone ripped out of his head. Then suddenly, he appears normal again as Scarlet Witch, a.k.a., Wanda alters the reality according to her. And thus, this leaves ample space for several unanswered questions: Is Vision still alive or not in WandaVision?
A similar doubt arises in agent Jimmy Woo’s mind when he tries to put some of his doubts on a whiteboard. He’s also confused about the present reality and the effects of Westview on the outside/normal world. Interestingly, there’s another mystery regarding the impact of Westview’s events on outer reality. In the fourth episode of WandaVision, when Wanda throws out Monica, the latter is seen wearing the same 1970s clothing and accessories. They don’t get changed even after she gets out of Scarlet’s “bubble reality.”
So it might happen, in the future, that if Vision somehow comes out of Westview, then he may continue to exist in the actual, outside world as well! Well, its a just a theory and can’t be confirmed ultimately. But again, MCU is all about unexpected ideas.
Upcoming MCU titles
Meanwhile, apart from the ongoing Disney Plus show WandaVision, many other MCU projects are coming soon. In March, Falcon and the Winter Soldier will make its way on the streaming service. However, the release cycle might be interrupted because the COVID-19 pandemic is causing another round of delays, especially when it comes to Marvel movies in phase four. Black Widow, Shang-Chi, and Eternals will arrive later now. And it may happen that due to closed cinema halls, they might end up releasing on Disney Plus exclusively, which is not good at all for die-hard fans. They have waited for the last one year for all these anticipated titles.
