Call of Duty: Warzone players have accused the game creators of “whitelisting” streamers while favoring them with easier lobbies.
A new conspiracy theory is making rounds among Warzone players these days. It is because of several recent fan investigation data revealing that streamers get easier lobbies than regular players.
‘Warzone’ and its growing issues
Lately, there have been many topics to deal with as far as the dev team of popular title COD: Warzone is concerned.
Since the last few weeks, the regular fans have been expressing their rage against the makers of the multiplayer because they suspect that most of the streamers these days are getting an unfair advantage in the game.
According to a conspiracy theory, fans have accused Warzone of “whitelisting” streamers, giving them easier lobbies to play that consist of bots instead of actual, real human players.
Normal players are convinced that streamers are getting special treatment in online matches.
A Redditor, Quaisy, shared some interesting data recently, showing the “whitelisting” theory. He mentioned that in Warzone, he has an above-average stat of 1.75 K/D (kill-death-ratio).
It isn’t very important compared to 4-plus K/Ds of the popular gamers or the professionals. The only streamer having harder lobbies on average was ScummN.
On the other hand, another streamer named Tfue had easier lobbies.
Redditor Quaisy only had 4.7 percent of average lobby K/D under 1.1. On the other hand, Tfue received lobbies having a whopping range of around 65.5 percent in his matches. It is although Tfue’s K/D is 4.33.
This data only took 64 matches, so not everything revealed should be taken as a confirmation.
Talking about the dev team then they are very secretive about how they determine lobbies inside the game. It is done in an SBMM (skill-based matchmaking) manner.
But again, after Quaisy’s data reveal, most of the fans are convinced that “whitelisting” is actually happening. And that there is no level-playing field now.
New multiplayer titles in 2021
Meanwhile, the gaming community is also looking forward to the upcoming major titles in this calendar. In terms of online multiplayer, 2021 will give out some great new choices.
Ubisoft is also entering the battle royale realm soon. It will launch Tom Clancy’s XDefiant, a new multiplayer. The project will offer a similar experience to that of Warzone, Apex Legends, and Valorant.
But Ubisoft, in its announcement, explained that the game would have a new way of playing online matches.
