Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity tells the events that unfold before The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. While Musou games don’t always have a great story, fans are already interested to see this one.
At the center of Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity is a huge roster of playable characters. We’ve seen most of them already. The story is the usual good versus bad affair. Those who’ve played The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild already knows who’s who in this prequel. Here are the good and the bad guys of the game.
The good guys
Of course, the two main characters in the story are Link and Zelda. They are one of the characters that survived the war. Alongside them is the steadfast ruler of Hyrule, who’s also Princess Zelda’s father. In the game, he will be a playable character as well.
The Four Champions of Hyrule represent the four domains. These characters are Orbosa, Mypha, Daruk, and Revali. They are tasked with taming the sacred beasts that reside in their respective regions.
Lastly, there will be three Shiekah characters in the game. These are Impa, Robbie, and Purrah. These characters helped Link in The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild.
There’s also the baby guardian, but we’ve yet to know if it is a good or bad guy in Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity.
The bad guys
The main antagonist is none other than Calamity Ganon. However, since he has no human form, we might not see him as a playable character. Still, there are a few villains working in the shadows.

One is Master Kohga, the leader of the Yiga Clan. Nintendo revealed a new character from the Yiga Clan as well. He wields two swords, and it seems like he is one of the leaders of the ninja group as well.
Lastly, we’ve got the mysterious figure shown in the trailer. He was revealed to be helping the Yiga Clan. Fans have yet to know who this is, but many fans believe that it’s a Legend of Zelda character like Yuga or Aghanim.
These are the characters for Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity so far. The game launches on Nov. 20 for the Nintendo Switch. There could be more characters revealed during the long wait, so fans need to check up on Nintendo from time-to-time as there could be more reveals.
