Whoopi Goldberg, Meghan McCain causing tension on ‘The View’ rumor debunked

Whoopi Goldberg and Meghan McCain are allegedly feuding and causing tension on The View, but one should take the report with a grain of salt.

Whoopi Goldberg and Meghan McCain have been co-hosting The View for years. However, several outlets claimed that they had a beef, and it was affecting the working environment in The View.

Whoopi Goldberg and Meghan McCain’s rumored feud

Meghan McCain and Whoopi Goldberg do not see eye-to-eye on various issues, Globe reported. The Sister Act star was planning to return to acting and has been telling friends that she wants to leave The View and has been really unhappy because the daily stint upset her.

There was “on-camera feuding and backstage bickering” between the two co-hosts. McCain and Goldberg often clash on the show, the report claimed.

Meanwhile, it also claimed that McCain was secretly negotiating her exit from the show because she wanted to be at the center of a different show. She allegedly wants to have another show because she felt she was the only qualified political pundit in the group.

“Her whole life has been centered around politics. She isn’t about to let her co-hosts – whom she calls a bunch of actresses and comedians – even talk to her on-air or behind the scenes about global events,” an anonymous source claimed.

Meanwhile, there were also claims that Goldberg was bossy and she was bullying her co-hosts. It quoted a tipster claiming Goldberg was feuding with her co-stars and “snapping at everyone” to the point when the producers were close to telling her to take a break from the show whether she wants it or not.

Feuding rumors debunked

Gossip Cop examined the claims and debunked the report pointing because Meghan McCain and Whoopi Goldberg’s alleged beef was not true. Both openly argue on air due to their different perspective. However, they remain respectful and professional towards each other.

It’s also not true that McCain was feeling superior about her qualifications compared to the other co-hosts. All of the hosts on the show are talented and professionals. They share passionate conversations and can agree to disagree.

It’s also not true that Goldberg was bossy and bully. The report did not provide any proof about its claim against Goldberg and simply said she was “snapping everyone.” A rep for The View also denied the claim saying Goldberg is well-respected by the cast and crew alike.

Moreover, the reports about their exit should be taken with a grain of salt. Among the factors that draw the audience to watch the program is their televised disagreements. If they agreed with each other all the time, it would make The View boring. At present, both Goldberg and McCain are unlikely to leave the show.
