After Steve’s addition to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a DLC character, fans are already excited to see who’s next. Of all the characters in the rumor mill, there’s one that stands out among the rest.
A lot of rumors are going on about the next possible addition to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Now that Steve from Minecraft is there, the possibilities are endless.
Due to an alleged leak last week, fans now have more reason to believe that Tracer is the next character for the game. Here’s why she’s a perfect fit for the diverse roster.
Impeccable timing
Blizzcon will hold Blizzcon Online in February. Considering that Steve might be launching this month, having Tracer’s reveal as a Super Smash character on Blizzcon is the perfect way to start the event. If she’s revealed in February, she might just come to the game in March.
There are also rumors about the Overwatch 2 release date being revealed at Blizzcon, but it’s only just a rumor for now.
Her kit
Tracer may be a character from a first-person shooter. However, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t fit well in a fighting game. Her Recall, Pulse Bomb, and Blink abilities are a perfect fit for a game like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
The leaks regarding her being added to the game reveal that she will bring her full kit along to the fighting game. All the developers need to do is give her some melee moves, and she’ll be all set to go for the game.
A Blizzard first
If she’s indeed added to the game, she will be the first character from Blizzard to be added to the game’s roster. The game already features characters from other companies such as Square Enix, Konami, Namco, Sega, and more. Blizzard is one of the few developers that are missing from the star-studded cast.
Of all the characters from Blizzard’s lineup, Tracer is the perfect one for the game. She’s popular, and she’s the frontline of Blizzard’s latest IP. Fans don’t think that characters from Diablo or World of Warcraft will fit into the fighting game. As such, Tracer is a must to represent Blizzard.
Tracer is the perfect addition to the growing Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster for a lot of reasons. She already has plans backing her up. With Overwatch 2 being in the works, her addition to the fighting game will give Blizzard and Nintendo the hype they deserve.
