Will Apple hold an event of March 16 or not?

Apple isn’t expected to hold an event exactly on March 16. However, another date in March might be the day of the Apple launches.

Apple is known to hold two to three big events every year. First is WWDC, which is mainly for the developers of apps and hardware. Sometime between that and its fall event, Apple sometimes launches other products such as the Apple Watch. Then the fall event caps the year with yearly launches of new iPhones or MacBooks.

Last year was a bit unusual. Apple didn’t hold a March event. Instead, it just announced the new iPad Pro via a press release. It didn’t have the curated experience of a usual Apple event. However, it still had enough impact to drive tech reviewers into a frenzy, especially with the Magic Keyboard.

Will Apple have March 16 as its first special day this year?

Mark Gurman of Bloomberg certainly thinks that March 16 might not be Apple’s date for its first event. However, he is still not eliminating the idea that any other day in March might be a possible event day.

Whether or not Apple announces an event for March, one thing for sure is that it will be another virtual event. It will most likely be another well-directed program with beautiful shots across the Apple Campus.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it will probably take a bit more time before Apple holds a physical event with a live audience.

What to expect if an event date is announced?

Whichever date is chosen for Apple’s first event, fans can expect it to be a jam-packed session of products. After all, Apple is ripe to announce several new and refreshed products after they were delayed from 2020.

Topping the list is the elusive Apple AirTags. The Cupertino-based company has upped its performance in device tracking. Now, it’s going beyond its main device and will start selling physical trackers. Among big tech companies, Samsung already beat them to the punch. However, Apple is still expected to sell a ton of these trackers with their main product line.

Apple is also expected to release a new iPad Pro and, possibly, an iPad Mini. The iPad Pro will not see a radical change physically. However, it is expected to be the first Apple device to receive the mini-LED treatment for its screen. The iPad Mini, on the other hand, will still look similar to its dated form, but it will have a slightly bigger screen with a smaller forehead and chin.

Other than the AirTags and the iPads, Apple is also foreseen to release the new AirPods 3. These new earphones will borrow the design of the AirPods Pro. It remains to be seen if it will have all the software and hardware components that Apple’s premium earphones have.
