Will Smith and Jada Pinkett’s marriage has been tested following the latter’s affair with August Alsina. However, Jada insisted that her “entanglement” with Alsina happened when she and Smith briefly separated.
Due to Jada and Alsina’s affair, there are rumors that she and Smith are getting a divorce. However, one should take that report with a grain of salt because the couple never announced or confirmed that they are splitting.
Multiple outlets claimed that Smith and Pinkett are flying to the Bahamas to save their marriage.
“Will and Jada are heading to the Bahamas to save their marriage and reassess things,” an insider told Star. “They’re hoping the trip helps reignite that spark.”
Life & Style also ran the same narrative that the two are separating. It used a quote from Jada’s Red Table Talk where Will said “I’m gonna get you back” to suggest that their marriage has hit rock bottom.
Last week, OK! also published a report claiming that the couple is repairing their relationship with a trip to the Bahamas.
However, one should take the report with a grain of salt. According to Gossip Cop, Jada Pinkett and Will Smith have both made it clear that they didn’t want a divorce.
“Will and I are family, I’m going to hold him down,” Jada said.
She stressed that divorce is “not what either of us wants” and her “entanglement” with Alsina will not cause her and Smith to separate for good.
Both admitted that they would continue to have “unconditional love” for one another. Will also acknowledged his willingness to stick with Jada.
“We came together young and we were both broken in our own ways, and to be able to make mistakes without the fear of losing your family is so critical,” he said per Entertainment Tonight.
“We ride together, we die together,” Smith and Jada said together at the same time with a smile.
While many still felt that Jada Pinkett cheated on Will Smith for having an affair with August Alsina, Smith didn’t mind it all. He spoke about finding love with Jada.
“I truly and really, really deeply loved, and have a ton of love for her. I devoted myself to it, I gave my full self to it,” Smith said.
“So much so to the point that I can die right now and be OK with knowing that I truly gave myself to somebody. I really loved the person that I experienced that [with] and know what [that feels] like — if some people never get that in this lifetime.”
