Even NFTs taste so good for a wine company.
Wine Spies, a company that secures special, top-secret deals on the world’s best wines, has minted its NFT collection — which is backed by real bottles of red wine.
NFTs are becoming a norm these days and hardly excites anybody (if no million-dollar price tags are involved). But Wine Spies’ NFT collection brings a fresh spirit of excitement because real bottles of wine (which are priceless for many) are involved.
The company said that they are always searching around the world for the best producers/ winemakers, and it is Wine Spies’ top priority to keep their identities hidden.
Top class wines
Jason Seeber, founder of Wine Spies said: “In our nearly 15 years in the wine trade, Wine Spies has developed deep and lasting relationships with the best wineries in the world.”
According to Seeber, Wine Spies has approached one of its best wine producers and collaborated to create the first vintage of Enigma. He also added that as much as he loves to reveal the company’s partners, he knows that respect for secrecy is what binds their relationship.
Enigmatic ‘Enigma’
The Enigma brand was inspired by a cipher device (with the same name) developed by Nazi Germany to protect commercial, diplomatic, and military communication during World War II.
But the core message of the Enigma brand is to honor the English code breakers whose main job is to stop Nazi’s encoded messages from flowing smoothly through their network.
One unique thing about the Enigma wine is that it has a cipher key printed into its cork which can work with a digital code-breaking machine to unlock a secret message for the buyers.
