Cho Seung Youn, aka WOODZ, finally unveiled his self-composed tracklist for his new mini-album, WOOPS!
On November 9, WOODZ released his self-composed tracklist for his new mini-album. He wrote and composed the lyrics of all the tracks in the album. His second mini-album has six songs, including Trigger, Bump Bump, Sweater, featuring Jamie, On My Own, Thanks To, and Tide.
A touch of Halloween
The tracklist image released has a Halloween’s vibe. Fans are excited about the type of music WOODZ will carry to the stage because he is experimental in genres and music.
Cho Seung Youn is also known for his stage names Luizy and WOODZ. He is a South Korean record producer, singer, songwriter, and dancer.
He debuted as the sub-vocalist and main rapper of a South Korean-Chinese boy band UNIQ, by Yuehua Entertainment in 2014. Also, a co-founder of the musical collectives M.O.L.A in 2015 and Drinkcolor in 2016. He again co-founded TEAM HOW, his production team.
The start of his solo career as WOODZ
Later on, he debuted as a solo artist under the stage name Luizy in July 2016 after his appearance on the South Korean rap competition show Show Me The Money‘s fifth season, collaboratively released the hip-hop single ‘Recipe.’
In 2018, he changed his stage name to WOODZ, which reflects changes in musical direction. As WOODZ, he released the singles titled POOL, Meaningless, and DIFFERENT with an alternative R&B beat that featured his transition from rap to vocals.
In 2019, Cho Seung Youn participated in the South Korean survival show Produce X 101, where he finished fifth place and became a member of X1, the show’s derivative boy band.
He debuted under Swing Entertainment with X! in August 2019. After the group’s disbandment on January 5 due to the Mnet vote manipulation investigation case, returning to his solo career as WOODZ. He released his first mini-album Equal with the title track Love Me Harder on June 29 and showcased online on the V LIVE platform.
Cho Seung Youn successfully created a niche for himself and his styles in music. His fans cannot hold on to their excitement with the news of his another comeback.
