Information about the upcoming World of Warcraft update Burning Crusade Classic has leaked ahead of the upcoming BlizzCon event this week.
According to rumors, official BlizzCon press kits leaked the entire agenda for the convention. World of Warcraft Shadowlands will get its first update, known as Chains of Domination. WoW Classic will also go ahead with the Burning Crusade Classic storyline.
WoW Classic will add Burning Crusade soon
As per the leakers, it seems most of the information for the upcoming updates to WoW come from the press kits. A good chunk of the flavor text in the marketing notes how Blizzard will present the online game.
“Journey through the Dark Portal once again in World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic,” noted the leaked press release by WoWhead. “Originally released in January 2007, The Burning Crusade summoned the heroes of Azeroth to the shattered and fel-scarred realm of Outland to stop an invasion of the demonic Burning Legion.”
“In 2021, Blizzard Entertainment’s recreation of the first World of Warcraft expansion will give players from around the world a chance to return to Outland as it once was to relive an era of timeless adventure—or experience what awaits beyond the Dark Portal for the first time.”
For those who don’t remember, Burning Crusade is one of the most vital updates of WoW. It came out in 2007 and added a few crucial parts of the game, including two playable races. The storyline added the warring Draenei of the Alliance and Blood Elves of the Horde.
Chains of Domination leaks note raid and 8-boss mega-dungeon
The BlizzCon leak did not only leak the upcoming World of Warcraft update for Classic. The other leaked information includes the upcoming Chains of Domination update for WoW: Shadowlands.
The first update will likely get more details on the actual Online BlizzCon this week, Feb 19. Fans can expect a full trailer of the update, together with the release date. Even then, there are a few details that came out from the leak.
“The traitorous Sire Denathrius has been defeated… but the power of the Maw still grows,” said the marketing feature. “In Chains of Domination, the upcoming first major content update for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, players will delve into new depths of the Jailer’s hopeless domain, seeking to understand the true nature of his malignant plans.
“But the Banished One has a terrible new champion in his service – a cruel instrument of despair conscripted by Sylvanas Windrunner, capable of installing dread into the hearts of Azeroth’s heroes like no creature of the Shadowlands.”
A new raid dungeon will be available, together with a new campaign and an eight-boss mega-dungeon. New gear will also be available as more information comes out for the upcoming World of Warcraft update.
