The ThinkPad X1 Fold by Lenovo is the world’s first foldable PC. Moreover, the ThinkPad X1 Fold is the winner of 43 CES awards.
We may have heard about Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 2. However, Lenovo’s ThinkPad X1 Fold is an innovative idea that started as an idea built from the concept of pieces of cupboard transformed into the world’s first foldable PC.
We can use and carry it in several different ways, even in ways that were “never possible” before. We can enjoy the split-screen experience or a huge display enhanced with a pen keyboard or fingers.
As the name suggests, the X1 Fold, of course, provides the split-screen feature. It can be folded like a book for two side-to-side displays. Hence, allowing us to do multitasking and simple tasks such as taking notes, reading, or comparing something.
Moreover, we can turn it such that the split-screen appears top to bottom, allowing us to do tasks such as writing down notes, sketch, or using the virtual keyboard.
The ThinkPad X1 Fold provides a full 33.52cms (13.3) 2K display on an OLED screen. It can be used as a tablet, relying on the built-in kickstand or the optional easel to hold it up while browsing online, streaming a video, or watching a presentation.
The Lenovo Mode Switcher app comes in handy as it allows the ThinkPad X1 Fold to orient itself how we want to use it. Further, it quickly and easily allows us to split the screen in two or use full width for one large display.
The ThinkPad X1 Fold is covered in beautiful leather folio, which gives it a classy look. It is more like a sketchbook than a laptop.
Besides being compact and stylish, it is functional too. The folio provides a built-in stand to keep the device upright. It weighs just 2.2 lbs. Hence it can “fit right into our jacket pocket” and even into a small handbag.
Moreover, it’s durable enough to undergo rough treatment on the road.
Moreover, it can be magnetically attached and charge wirelessly when the device folds around it. Therefore, there are many reasons to believe that this device can take our experience to the “next level.”
The ThinkPad X1 Fold is designed for a future of universal 5G technology. It offers an authentic smartphone-like experience in an always-connected PC.
Speedy WiFi 6 will let us jump on crowded public platforms fast. And with the optional 4G/5G service, we can further enjoy faster and more secure access to our server and uninterrupted video streaming.
The ThinkPad X1 Fold encrypts data with discrete Trusted Platform Module (dTPM), making it more difficult to hack and keeping your critical data more secure.
