Microsoft will bring a change in its Xbox refund policy in July. As a result that, the expanded policy for Cyberpunk 2077 will end.
Just recently, Microsoft updated its Digital Game Purchase Refund Terms page. It will handle Cyberpunk 2077 refunds in a new way from now on.
‘Cyberpunk 2077’: New Xbox refund policy details
The previous expanded refund policy for the CD Projekt RED title will end in July, as per Microsoft’s updated terms.
Last year, in December, Xbox extended its policy to allow anyone who purchased the game to refund the title entirely.
The notice on Microsoft’s digital game refunds page mentioned the following:
“The team at CD Projekt Red continues to work hard to improve the experience of Cyberpunk 2077 for Xbox players and has made some updates.”
It implies that Microsoft will return to its standard digital game refund policy for Cyberpunk 2077 on July 6. It will apply to both the new and existing purchases.
In December 2020, due to the rising gameplay issues in Cyberpunk 2077, the Xbox policy was expanded.
Now that the changes will take place soon, it also means that Microsoft is satisfied with CDPR’s recent fixes to the game. That’s why the company has decided to pull back the expanded policy.
It also means that players can expect a better performance in the sci-fi, open-world title in the coming days as it gains new improvements. Recently, it witnessed a Hotfix 1.23, intended to solve more bugs and glitches.

What’s next for the CDPR title?
While the game is currently far away from perfection, it’s taking small steps towards getting there.
After the release of a new patch, it also came back to Sony’s PlayStation Store after six months. However, it’s still having specific issues.
Meanwhile, fans of Cyberpunk 2077 are hoping for it to become great in the future. And the changes seem positive as the developing team is working towards fresh inclusions.
When it comes to extra content, then CP77 will receive it soon. However, no date is confirmed yet for the DLCs. But one of them will feature the character of Panam, as per the reports.
On the other hand, those who admire the game’s story are also hoping for a dedicated DLC for Judy and Jackie.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S ports are still in development.
