Microsoft’s June “Ultimate Contests” is giving Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers a chance to win an Xbox Series X.
Many gamers still find it challenging to own new-gen consoles, like Xbox Series X, in recent months. With the apparent shortage in stocks and supply, several individuals continue to utilize their current units.
While this has caused dismays to some, users of Microsoft’s gaming consoles may find a silver lining in this scenario. This comes after the company teases Series X units as the winning prize of its June “Ultimate Contests.”
The contest has not reportedly received official promotions yet. But, Games Rant said that the mechanics, as well as the other details of this month’s competition, are already on Xbox’s official website.
Xbox Series X as a prize for each of the five winners
The “Ultimate Contests” for the month of June centers on playing any game from the Game Pass’ “Sports” collection. Gamers who will earn the top five achievement scores will receive an Xbox Series X console.
The competition officially began on June 1, 2021, and will conclude on June 30, 2021, at 1:59 p.m., PT. Microsoft said that the prize is “as is,” adding that it is non-transferable. There is no substitution, as well, to the concessions. Moreover, it will follow a strict “one award per winner” rule.
Winners will receive the prize no later than 60 days after the selection. But, they will have to complete the necessary forms within a specified deadline.
Eligibility for the June “Ultimate Contests”
The “Ultimate Contests” are open only for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, who are of legal age. Participants should also be legal residents of the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
Microsoft also notes that the competition is a “contest of skill,” adding that participants should only utilize Xbox consoles. They may own or have access to a “Qualified Device,” which includes Xbox Series X and S, and any of the units from the Xbox One collection.
Bethesda-themed controllers in April
Microsoft held a similar contest earlier in April. It was also open only for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Subscribers, who are of legal age.
Games Rant previously said that the contest seemingly marked the company’s acquisition of ZeniMax Media. Accordingly, the competition centered on playing any game from the Bethesda Softworks Collection.
The April “Ultimate Contests” event is similar to this month’s achievement competitions. But, instead of winning an Xbox Series X, the winners of the previous contest received Bethesda-themed Xbox Wireless Controllers.
