The Mi 10 Ultra will commemorate Xiaomi’s tenth anniversary in the mobile industry. The company’s first smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi 1, was launched in August 11, 2011.
Easily the most leaked and speculated smartphone this week is the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra. And not just because it is set to become the Chinese smartphone giant’s tenth essential smartphone in the business. The phone, on paper, is about to be its most explosive yet.
Now, hours before its imminent launch, the Mi 10 Ultra has finally passed on Geekbench, bearing crucial features relative to its internals.
16GB RAM and Android 10
With the model number M2007J1SC, the Mi 10 Ultra is seen toting around a massive 16GB of RAM, alongside Android 10. It also generated 901 points on its single-core test, while 3,275 points were churned out in the multi-core department. These points are indicative that the phone will launch with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865+ chipset.
120Hz AMOLED and 55W fast wireless charging
The Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra is also set to sport a series of top-of-the-line features. Hinted previously via leaks, Xiaomi’s next flagship is tipped to be coming with a 120Hz AMOLED screen with an FHD+ resolution. The handset is also bound to arrive with a 4,500mAh battery, with support for 100W or 120W fast wired charging.
The phone is also on its way to feature a quicker 55W fast wireless charging.
Periscope lens with 120X digital zoom and an in-display selfie camera?
The device is also rumored to pack a periscope lens with a whopping 120X digital zoom on its rear. The rest of its sensors, on the other hand, are key players as well – these include a 108-megapixel primary shooter, a 20MP ultrawide snapper, and an 8MP telephoto module.
Notorious tipster Ross Young also revealed days ago that the Mi 10 Ultra could be the first smartphone in the industry to be released with an under-display camera.
Ceramic and transparent versions
A separate leak also suggested that Xiaomi could be mulling on releasing two versions of the Mi 10 Ultra. One of these might arrive with a ceramic panel, while the second could sport a transparent back. The latter has also been seen on previous Xiaomi Mi flagship iterations.
The leak also indicated that the handset would come in 8GB/12GB of RAM tiers, plus a single 256GB of internal storage. The transparent edition is also likely to feature a bigger 16GB of RAM, with up to 512GB of onboard storage.
Other premium features the Mi 10 Ultra could arrive with are an improved vapor chamber cooling, next-generation in-display fingerprint reader, and support for Hi-Res Audio with a custom algorithm.
The Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra could be released in limited quantities only.
