New phone cases of the Xiaomi Mi CC10 have now gone on sale in a Chinese e-commerce site.
It is no longer unusual nowadays to see smartphone cases right before the actual devices get released. But with most sleuths online, it is not just about seeing them before the smartphones’ eventual announcement; no, it’s about prying on to how the design is executed, ultimately revealing few yet vital tidbits on what the handset could offer, in terms of features, at the time of its launch.
Such is the case of the Xiaomi Mi CC10, whose smartphone cases, have now gone on sale in Taobao, a noted Chinese e-commerce website.
An Oreo-like rear camera module design
Perhaps the most striking detail that was revealed in the phone’s case is its camera design. The accompanying aesthetics is seen to be toting around four sensors, ones that are all enclosed in an Oreo-like camera module design. In retrospect, this is akin to the design we’ve already seen on the Redmi K30 Pro.
But there is a glaring difference, we might add. The arrangement of the sensors in the rear panel of the Xiaomi Mi CC10 appears to be situated in a four Cardinal direction.
A full-screen experience
Also, the renders of the phone’s case revealed what appears to be the phone’s full-screen design, without any display cutout, of course. The same can be said with the absence of a pop-up camera. Nevertheless, the phone is likely to arrive with a notch or debut with an in-display, front-facing camera. But we might be jumping the gun here.
If there’s anything, the Xiaomi Mi CC10 is shaping up to be a seamless device, relative to its design features.
The Xiaomi Mi CC10’s quad-rear camera setup is speculated to be equipped with a 108MP primary sensor. It is pegged, however, that the primary sensor won’t be the Samsung HMX sensor, which is currently featured in the Mi CC9 Pro, Mi 10, and the Mi 10 Pro.
Instead, the Mi CC10 could arrive with an improved version of the same module, presently dubbed as the HM2. Accordingly, the new sensor could bring support for up to 120x digital zoom and 12x optical zoom.
Other key features
The Xiaomi Mi CC10 is also rumored to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 775G chipset, which is said to support NFC and 5G. Speculations are rife as well that the phone could launch with 128GB of storage as its base, Android 10 OS, and 4,200mAh battery. Talk of a 32MP selfie camera is also in the mix.
Xiaomi might launch the Mi CC10 in the Chinese market first, then internationally as a rebadged version.
