Xiaomi releases newest mobile Redmi 8A Pro

Xiaomi welcomes the Redmi 8A Pro as part of its Redmi 8 series. It is their newest mobile launch with its first appearance in India last February.

This private company is famous for its affordable smartphones and other electronics. They also produce fitness trackers, tablets, air purifiers, and smart TVs. Last April 2, 2020, they had their recent mobile launch to their Redmi 8 series. It is to introduce the Redmi 8A Pro.

Specs and details

The Redmi 8A Pro operates on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor. It also comes with2GB of LPDDR3 RAM tiers. Xiaomi fans look forward to its ample storage, and as a response, the Redmi 8A Pro comes with eMMC 5.1 flash storage of 32B. The user can expand the room using a microSD. This phone can accommodate extra storage of up to 512 GB. Users do not need to worry about running out of storage space again.

What’s a more appealing feature of this newest Redmi 8A pro is the battery. It features a massive 5,000mAh battery. Its long battery life is handy and practical. It has a reverse charging feature that will support the fast charging of 18W.

Albeit it operates on MIUI 11, the Redmi 8A Pro is taking after the Android 9.0 pie. The package still includes the USB Type-C port. It has its dedicated FM radio and 3.55mm headphone jack. But, it does not include the fingerprint reader that the user can mount.


The Redmi 8A Pro is an upgraded version of their Redmi 8A Dual. It features a traditional dual-camera setup. It has a 13MP full sensor for the primary camera and a 2MP depth lens to capture little details. Its front camera is 8MP.


The Redmi 8A Dual and Redmi 8A Pro share a similar display and design. There are no significant changes in the design. It is available in Sky White, Midnight Grey, and Sea Blue.

This model does not have a glossy back like the traditional Redmi 8 series phone. It has a matte rear panel with micro-texture for optimal comfort.

The Redmi 8A Pro features the Aura XGrip design with splash resistance. It also has a waterdrop display notch. Its 6.22-inch LCD display can support a 720 x 1520 pixels.

It is now available in Indonesia at a competitive price. Buyers have two options. It’s purchasing between 2GB/32GB version and 3GB/32GB version with a price difference.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi works on promoting its Google supported phones. The Chinese phone war continues to escalate between Huawei and Xiaomi.
