Yellowstone season 3 is all set to return to the small screen. Fans who have been waiting for it will get to see the billionaire Dutton patriarch again exactly on Father’s Day.
Yellowstone season 3 is going to be a Father’s Day treat to all fans out there. The drama series will be dropping new episodes beginning Sunday, June 21, on Paramount Network.
Kevin Costner will reprise his role as the powerful John Dutton, patriarch of the rancher family. And as previously reported, more drama, tension and threat are coming up.
It’s also noted that the spin on the wild west drama is not a limited series, after all. When it first aired, some thought that it was following the same format as Waco, Paramount’s other hit show.
But at this rate, it seems like the Costner-led show will be around for the years to come. Die-hard fans will have to cross their fingers for seasons beyond the third.
What’s coming in season 3?
As reported earlier, season 3 is going to bring in a new foe in town in the form of Roarke Morris, a man who has ambitious plans of developing part of the Dutton land and the surrounding area.
The new character is going to be played by Lost actor Josh Holloway. Appearing also in the brand new season is Jennifer Landon’s memorable Teeter.
Landon, who is the daughter of the late legendary actor Michael Landon, is said to add “spunk and humor” to the drama.
Other actors joining in the season 3 cast are Karen Pittman (The Morning Show), John Emmet Tracey (iZombie), and Q’orianka Kilcher (The Alienist).
Will there be answers in the Beth and Jamie drama?
One of the plots that many are looking forward to know about is the drama revolving siblings Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley).
The children of John do not really share a great bond and their troubled relationship is making fans wonder what really happened between them.
According to reports, season 3 will explore more into the sibling rivalry which has shifted into full gear in the last season.
Bentley also teased that the upcoming season explained “everything” for him on Beth and Jamie’s tumultuous relationship.
Moreover, season 3 is expected to follow how the family will deal with Tate Dutton (Brecken Merrill) who is going through trauma after he got kidnapped.
In a teaser video, John and Tate share a touching moment with the former giving the latter some grandfatherly comfort and wisdom.
Fans will have to stay tuned for more updates on Yellowstone season 3.
