You can now pre-purchase ‘Battlefield 2042’ on Steam

Following the anticipated cinematic reveal on Wednesday, EA has made Battlefield 2042 available for pre-purchase on Steam.

As of now, you can go to the Steam store to different pre-order copies of Battlefield 2042. And yes, they do cost a lot!

‘Battlefield 2042’ pre-purchase details

June 9th turned out big for all those looking forward to the maiden reveal of Battlefield 6. Well, now it’s known that the official title is not that at all.

After witnessing the cinematic trailer, many of you must wonder how to buy the yet-to-release game.

But it’s not that difficult as Battlefield 2042 is now on Steam for you to pre-purchase it and get it eventually upon launch.

Here are the details you need to know about all the different editions and the contents they will offer:

Gold Edition

  • Very early access to the title’s launch
  • Year 1 Pass: New Specialists (1 per Season) and 4 Battle Passes (1 per Season). There are also three epic Skin Bundles (“Blistered Earth,” “Cold Blood,” and “Tempest”).

Upon pre-ordering, you will get early access to open beta and the Baku ACB-90 melee takedown knife. Plus, there’s also the “Mr. Chompy” Epic Weapon Charm.

Ultimate Edition

  • It contains early access to the game’s launch.
  • Year 1 Pass (similar to that of Gold Edition).
  • Midnight Ultimate Bundle (“Shadow Stalker” Legendary Outfit, “Onyx” Legendary Vehicle Skin, and “Obsidian” Legendary Weapon Skin).
  • Official Digital Artbook.
  • Exclusive Digital Soundtrack.

Like the Gold Edition, the Ultimate Edition will also give you early access to open beta and Baku melee knife.

When to expect the gameplay footage?

Immediately after releasing the cinematic reveal trailer, the makers announced the actual gameplay footage for E3.

So all those who are still curious about how the in-game surroundings will appear can watch out for the upcoming session. It will happen on June 13th.

According to Steam’s description, Battlefield 2042 is a first-person shooter marking the series’ return to the iconic all-out warfare.

Players will have to adapt to dynamically-changing battlegrounds with their squad’s help. The disorder now changes the future world in the game.

And, of course, there will be plenty of high-tech weapons as well.

The title will support 128 players in various multiplayer modes. They will include Conquest and Breakthrough along with the all-new Hazard Zone.

Battlefield 2042 comes out on October 23rd, 2021.
