You season 3 recently reveals two new characters who will be joining Penn Badgely and Victoria Pedretti. Moreover, lead star Badgely teases insights on what to expect for the third installment.
The psycho-thriller drama is based on the 2014 novel of Caroline Kepnes and developed by Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble. When the series arrived on Netflix, it easily went up the ladder and seated on the top 10 shows. By the end of season 2, fans are already clamoring for more of Joe and Love’s bizarre relationship. Now, You season 3 will bring a lot of changes for the couple as they move to a nice and quiet little suburb.
You season 3 adds new characters
The streaming giant has recently announced that Shalita Grant and Travis Van Winkle are joining the series. Shalita Grant is most famous in her roles in NCIS: New Orleans and Search Party. On the other hand, Travis Van Winkle starred in The Last Ship.

Grant will play Sherry, “a ‘Mom-fluencer’ who appears down to earth, but is actually a mean girl who only pretends to welcome Love into her social circle.” Seeing Love in season 2, she is a strong-willed woman who kills if she has to. Thus, season 3 might push Love to her limits and potentially hurt Sherry.
On the other hand, Winkle plays Cary, befriends Joe, and welcomes him into his inner circle. With the new characters showing up in the third installment, time will only tell until Joe and Love’s past are exposed. Looking back, both Joe and Love killed people who come across their plans. Season 2 revealed several deaths, including Love Quinn’s brother, Forty, and Joe’s ex-girlfriend, Candace.
Penn Badgely teases season 3 plot
Speaking to TV Line, Badgely shares that there might be no future for Love and Joe. Badgely said:
“They’re not soulmates. He’s afraid of her at the end [of Season 2]. Basically, it’s set up for Season 3 in a way where they would be each other’s arch-nemesis.”

When season 2 finally came to an end, Joe is to become a father but seeing his new neighbor sun-bathing might mean that he does not want to change. Just like the old Joe, he starts to imagine and analyze the girl-next-door. Badley further said:
“Does he have it in him, in that he’s a human being? Is it possible? Sure. And if there’s anything that can change a person, it’s parenthood. But I don’t know that Joe can or should change. I certainly don’t know if he will change.”
