‘You’ season 3: New cast and Netflix release date details revealed

The psychological drama thriller, You season 3, is finally coming back to Netflix. And after a lengthy production delay, the series has finally revealed details on its new cast and release date.

You season 3 is another highly anticipated Netflix show that garnered over 54 million viewers. Based on the novel series of Caroline Kepnes, the series follows Penn Badgley’s, Joe Goldberg. Joe is a serial killer who stalks and charms his way into the hearts of his love interest each season.

The first season tells the story of Joe and Guinevere Beck, which ended up in a horrifying murder. To move past his mistakes, Joe changed his name to Will and moves to Los Angeles. There he meets Love Quinn, and finally, Joe has found his match. Love Quinn is much like Joe, who also has the gut to kill anyone. Thus, season 3 will surely bring a lot of huge twists as Joe and Love move into a quiet little suburb.

“You” season 3 new casts

Aside from Penn Badgeley and Victoria Pedretti, who will be reprising their roles, new casts will join the series. Scott Speedman, who is known for his role as Michael in the Underworld, will be part of the cast. Netflix has announced his involvement on Twitter.

He will play the character of Matthew, “a successful CEO, husband, and uncommunicative father. He’s reserved, mysterious, and has a tendency to be withdrawn … all of which masks a deep well of emotion underneath.”

There is little information on what will be the relationship between Matthew and Joe. Fans are now theorizing that Matthew could be the husband of Joe’s next target. On the other hand, he might be the husband of Joe’s new girl neighbor.

The streaming giant has recently announced that Shalita Grant and Travis Van Winkle are joining the series. Shalita Grant is most famous in her roles in NCIS: New Orleans and Search Party. On the other hand, Travis Van Winkle starred in The Last Ship.

On a side note, the series has resumed its production amid the coronavirus pandemic. The streaming platform has shared the information with an image of Badgely wearing a mask.
