YouTube and Tribeca Enterprises are launching We Are One: A Global Film Festival, which will stream on YouTube for 10 days for free starting May 29.
The grand collaborated online event entitled We Are One: A Global Film Festival— a film festival delivered exclusively free online via YouTube which is a 10-day streaming marathon.
Both the Internet giant and the film fest organizer have released a joint press release, with the latter also posting a teaser trailer on its official Facebook page.

As mentioned earlier, the online film fest will be accessible to all viewers via YouTube, completely free of charge.
For 10 days, audiences will be treated to film rosters assembled by top curators highlighting the vision and creations of a wide range of filmmakers from around the world, as pointed out by Tribeca through a tweet.

According to the press release, We Are One will showcase a lineup of movies curated by some of the most prestigious film festival bodies from across the globe.

Unity in a time of crisis
Central to the goal of the We Are One initiative is to conduct a film festival that will bring audiences together, especially as one global community fighting against one enemy, the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Indeed, this undertaking is more than just a 10-day online film fest, but as a means for viewers to see different cultures from other countries, and urge them to help local communities by supporting organizations’ relief efforts.
Per the press release, the We Are One festival will not only benefit the World Health Organization (WHO) but also local relief organizations in every region who are partnering with the project.
What films to expect
As of this writing, the We Are One film fest organizers have not released an official list of films to be featured from May 29 to June 7.
But Tribeca has promised that the programming will offer a generous lineup of full-length movies, short films, documentary features, musicals, comedies, and even conversations.
The organizers added that in the weeks leading up to the launch date, We Are One will be publishing an official schedule of all films and their respective showings.
More free content online
Apart from its partnership with Tribeca, YouTube is also launching its own slate of original content, featuring a number of celebrities and some of the most popular YouTube stars today.
Also showing for free on YouTube are several documentaries courtesy of Netflix. They include Our Planet, Babies, and Chasing Coral, just to name a few.
For HBO fans, still available until the end of this month are 500 free hours of free programming, including movies, TV shows, and documentary films and series.
And similar to what YouTube and Tribeca are doing, another tech giant, Amazon, and another film fest organization, SXSW, are teaming up to offer a free 10-day digital film fest from April 27 to May 6.
