Childhood dreams to live performances
Yungblud, whose full name is Dominic Richard Harrisper, arranged the acoustic version of the song with two other guitar players. Extending his performance, Yungblud played his recent single Strawberry Lipstick on the show.
The Live Lounge is a segment of the UK-based BBC Radio station hosted by Clara Amfo. It’s a month-long annual series that kicked off on September 1 and will conclude September 30.
This year’s performances included notable soloists and groups like Little Mix, Anne-Marie, Arlo Parks, Biffy Clyro, Miley Cyrus, Lana Del Ray, and more.
Enthralled about his performance, the singer says it was his childhood dream to play in the Live Lounge.
He stated that as a child, he only owned CD performances. Performing on the show bought him an immense amount of energy and joy. This year’s performance by Yungblud marked his second time on the show.
I’m With You by Avril Lavigne
The mentioned track above is part of Avril’s debut album released in 2002. It instantly became a massive hit and received a nomination for the Grammy’s Song of the Year category.
On September 21, Avril announced an online benefit concert to raise awareness of Lyme disease. The singer’s website also indicated that this would be the only chance for the fans to see the singer perform this year.
Furthermore, Avril is known for her eccentric looks that exude on her songs releases.
Avril’s struggle with Lyme disease
The singer publicized her struggle with the disease in 2015. The matter led Avril to display support to fellow singer Justin Bieber, who announced his battle with the same illness in January.
