Zac Efron will, allegedly, star in a reality TV show for $1.5 million.
According to New Idea, Zac Efron is being tapped to appear in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here. The show features celebrities living together in a jungle for several weeks until one of them is crowned king and queen of the jungle.
“Network Ten is saving a fortune filming the show in Australia and can now afford bigger names. Zac is the number one most wanted participant,” an unnamed source told the tabloid.
Rumors debunked
However, no concrete pieces of evidence can confirm that these hearsays are correct as of this writing.
Gossip Cop said that Efron is currently residing at Byron Bay while filming his Netflix series, Down to Earth. However, the actor living in Byron Bay doesn’t have anything to do with him being cast in the reality TV show.
The rumor-debunking site also reached out to the actor’s rep and was told the claims of the tabloid are false.
New Idea isn’t the only tabloid publishing phony stories about the High School Musical actor.
Zac couldn’t allegedly let go of his character
Two years ago, In Touch Weekly claimed that Zac Efron had an episode on set while portraying the role of Ted Bundy in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile.
“[Zac] got lost in his portrayal of Ted, so much so that he acted like a real jerk and a creep to the cast and crew, and even to some fans in town,” the source said.
Gossip Cop reached out to a more reputable source – who also happens to be unnamed – who told them that Efron wasn’t still in character when the cameras stopped rolling.
Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens allegedly getting back together
Earlier this year, OK! magazine published a more personal story about the actor. They said that he was getting back together with Vanessa Hudgens.
An unnamed source told the tabloid that Efron and Hudgens started talking again after the latter ended her relationship with Austin Butler. However, no concrete pieces of evidence were able to confirm that these hearsays are correct as of this writing.
Zac Efron also made headlines this week after his fans praised him for his portrayal in Down to Earth. On his Twitter account, the actor uploaded a photo of himself while telling his supporters how much he loves them.
