German company Zeiss’s full-frame Android operated camera, ZX1, is now available to pre-order for the price of $6000.
The wait is finally over as Zeiss is finally making their ZX1 camera available to purchase.
The Story of Zeiss
Carl Zeiss AG is a German manufacturer of optical systems and optoelectronics. It was founded in Jena, Germany, in 1846 by optician Carl Zeiss. Jena in Eastern Germany is, in fact, its second-largest site.
Carl Zeiss AG is the holding of all subsidiary companies inside the Zeiss Group. Carl Zeiss Meditec AG is the one in particular that is exchanged at the stock market. It is owned by the foundation Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung.
The Zeiss Group has its headquarters in the small town of Oberkochen. However, the company is controlled by the glass manufacturer Schott AG, located in Mainz and Jena. Nonetheless, Carl Zeiss is one of the oldest existing optics manufacturers in the world.
The Zeiss company is responsible for many optical design innovations and engineering in its major business fields.
As one of the pioneers of scientific optics, Zeiss continues to challenge the limits of human imagination. Their “passion for excellence” creates value for its customers and inspires the world in new ways.
Zeiss is currently in the process of designing the optical components for the James Webb Space Telescope. It is set to replace the Hubble Space Telescope sometime in 2021.
The release of ZX1
The exclusive full-frame Android camera is finally available to pre-order. After the product’s initial announcement two years ago, Zeiss stopped talking about it for some time.
Nevertheless, the customers have always been eager to learn more about the ZX1 and ultimately get one for themselves.
As per the reports from DP Review, B&H is sending emails to its customers, notifying them of the availability of the long-awaited Zeiss ZX1. It is now available for pre-order, and the price for the pre-order is $6000.
Let’s get into the Technicalities
