Niantic has prepared several events for Pokemon Go for June, such as the debut of Zekrom. The Solstice and Bug Out events will also return.
June is finally here, which is why Niantic has announced several exciting events lined up for their mobile hit game, Pokemon Go.
These include the debut of a Legendary Pokemon and the return, two fun events, and a lot more. All of these updates will be available once June 1, 2020, 7-hour global maintenance is done.
June Research Encounters
From June 1 to July 1, 2020, players will have the chance to encounter the Pokemon Trapinch every time they complete a Research Breakthrough.
This can be done by finishing at least one Field Research Task on seven different days. The seven days doesn’t have to be in consecutive order.

Throwback Challenge Champion Special Research
Players who have completed all four Timed Research tasks during last month’s Throwback Challenge event will be able to join the Throwback Challenge Champion event for June.
The event will start on June 3, and the tasks will not be time-limited. This means players will have all the time to finish them.
As Champion tasks are completed, players will receive different rewards such as Rare Candies, Professor Willow-inspired avatar glasses, and a chance to encounter Galarian Stunfisk, Galarian Meowth, and Genesect.
Players who haven’t completed the four sets of Timed Researches last month will have to buy tickets to be able to join a set of Celebration Research tasks. Purchasing this ticket will grant them the chance to also receive the same rewards given to the Champion Special Research tasks.
Unova Celebration Throwback Challenges
In addition to the events above, this Throwback Challenge will allow players to have the chance to encounter Galar- and Unova-based Pokemon.
The event will be held starting from June 3 until June 8, 2020.
The Legendary Pokemon Zekrom will start appearing in raids beginning June 16, 2020. Three-hour raid events will also be coming to Pokemon Go on June 17, June 24 and July 1.
The three-hour raids will make Zekrom appear in raids more frequently from 6pm to 7pm on the said dates.
Solstice and Bug Out
Another Solstice event will be featured in the game, which will run from June 19 to June 24, 2020. On the other hand, the Bug Out event will run from June 26 to July 1, 2020.
There are still no announcements on what will be featured on these events. However, tune in to Micky for more Pokemon Go updates once the developers release additional information about these events.
