Several Spider-man fans still believe that Garfield will appear in Sony and Marvel’s forthcoming movie Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Andrew Garfield, who has consistently denied that he would feature in the multiverse-hopping crossover, is the only one who does not believe it — at least not publicly.
No Way Home, which stars Tom Holland in his sixth film as Spider-Man/Peter Parker, has announced that Alfred Molina (Spider-Man 2) and Jamie Foxx (The Amazing Spider-Man 2) will appear as Doctor Octopus and Electro, respectively.
Garfield’s appearance in the new Spiderman movie is still a rumor
Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Loki, and What If…?, Marvel’s universe seems to be more open than ever before, leading to speculation that Garfield’s Spider-Man, as well as Tobey Maguire’s, may appear alongside Holland onscreen.
There’s scarcely a more sensible character for Marvel to begin exploring its infinite Earths with than Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which was a financial triumph.
“Because I’m a fan myself, I understand why others are freaking out over the idea. You can’t help but envision scenarios and times when you think to yourself, ‘Oh, my God, how fucking amazing would that be if they did that?'” Variety quoted Garfield as saying.
“But it’s essential for me to state on the record that I’m not aware I’m engaged in this. But I know I won’t be able to say anything that will persuade anybody that I have no idea what’s going on. I’m screwed, no matter what I say. It will either be very disappointing or extremely thrilling for the public.”
Spiderman rental records soared high after recent trailer
The Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield Spider-Man movies soared to the top of the iTunes rental rankings after the record-breaking popularity of the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer, with all seven exiting Spider-Man pictures ranked between #2 and #47 on iTunes within days of the video’s release.
Sony and Marvel Studios‘ Spider-Man: No Way Home, starring Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, Jamie Foxx, Alfred Molina, and Benedict Cumberbatch, is set to hit cinemas on December 17.
